Dr. Nick Notes
Salvia apiana is more commonly known as North American White Sage. This particular sage has been highly revered by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes & energetic cleansing. White Sage is native to the Southwestern United States and Northwestern Mexico where it is commonly wild harvested and dried for the use of smudging.
White Sage Essential Oil is very precious material. Our White Sage Essential Oil comes from sage that is bundled and wildharvested from the mountains in San Luis Obispo every 2 years. My friend hikes throughout the mountains there and grooms the plants with care not to overharvest from the air. The quality of oil from the sage he harvests, dries and then masterfully distills is amongst the best ever on the market.
White sage oil is very precious, a fair amount of dried sage from a bundle can be used over a period of time while pure White Sage Essential Oil can be used very quickly or even unconsciously. For this reason, we suggest most people use this precious oil within our blends Purity & Positive Transmissions, or select the White Sage Anointing Oil (infused in Fractionated Coconut Oil) to allow this precious resource to have a wider impact!
With much gratitude I have for his work and inspiration, it’s truly an honour to have a limited supply of precious, sustainably sourced White Sage Essential Oil.

Safety Considerations by Dr. Nick
Please DO NOT ingest this oil without deep consideration of concentration, amount and potential risks / benefits – I had a friend share a story with me once who was told to ingest what was approximately 10 – 15 mL because “it would be very cleansing” and she immediately started seizing. She was taken to the hospital and had a level of liver failure ~ fortunately survived after several days in the Hawaiian Hospital.
The amounts of White Sage Essential Oil in Essential Oil Wizardry formulations are minute (precious & potent extract) and any of our few tincture formulations with White Sage oil have VERY small quantities of White Sage oil. White Sage Oil is best for aromatherapy & non-ingested ceremonial usages. Please be heartful with using this precious and powerful extract!
