In 2025, my wife and I took a trip to Thailand and we were fortunate enough to find a family who grows, processes and extracts beautiful flowers and medicinal herbs. During this journey, we visited the first blue lotus operation & extraction factory I’ve had the pleasure of touring. From seeing the rose plants, lotus pond, tasting their nectar-rich Blue Lotus & Rose Honey, I rose in love with the Thai vibration of aromatic flowers and sun-enriched medicinal herbs.
While we were walking through their factory, I got to witness many hundreds (approaching thousands) of kilos of dried Blue Lotus flowers and they had shared some very precious resinous extracts In their fridge – one of their items was a Damiana Resin, a fine dark resin which contained some aromatic notes, plant salts and concentrated medicinal components of Damiana.
Our Damiana Resin is one of my favorite casual euphoriants – a great meditative aid, social lubricant, and concentrated extract for sustainable partying. Damiana is quite pleasurable to combine with painting, music, love-making, dancing, festivals and social gatherings. Damiana stacks beautifully with Cacao (enhances the heart-opening & increases energy levels) & Kanna (notable euphoria and buzz) and is a primary inspiration behind our classic Tantric Trilogy tincture.
I cannot recommend the appropriate dose; In the words of my Thai friends – start low and go slow. I’ve found a grain of rice to be a nice starting dosage, and have found a nice glow with 2-3x this amount as well. When I enjoy the Damiana Resin, I find an increased level of euphoria, joy and a great substitute for other more harsh party substances. I tend to redose every 1-2 hours to extend the qualities and effects.
Each gram of this Damiana Resin goes a long way, and should be treasured/respected. This is an ultra-concentrated resin taking approximately 100 grams of Damiana concentrated into each gram of resin, also known as 100x Extract. I have only experienced this ingested directly, though it may be interesting infused into elixirs, tea, cacao or added into water. I have yet to vaporize this material, but I may try this sometime to see the effect – I expect this to be a powerful experience!
When not overdone or taken too late (coupled with enough sleep), most people will arise the next day with virtually no crash or hangover. Taken at higher doses & sleeping late, one may feel more depleted or dehydrated than at lower doses, though this is typically much gentler of a hangover than harsher drugs or alcohol.
Suggested Uses
Damiana is widely known to be a mood enhancing, while providing a sensual, body euphoria. My favorite uses are to enhance creativity for making art, dancing, enjoy intimacy with another, and to enliven social experiences while remaining lucid.
