Bobinsana is an Amazonian plant which some indigenous adoringly name her Sirenita (little mermaid), as she works with the waters and the emotions. The plant produces the most beautiful pink powderpuff flowers and the shrub-like tree can grow to be between 10 – 20 feet. We are happy to be sourcing our Bobinsana bark from a friend’s property in Peru, harvested by the indigenous whom live / tend to her land. Bobinsana is a commonly dieted plant in the Amazon or used as an admixture in the preparation of special Ayahuasca brews. To be clear, Bobinsana is not psychedelic and is a very powerful plant teacher. Some of the physiological benefits of Bobinsana are said to be anti-inflammatory (COX-1 Inhibitor), reducing joint pain (ie. Arthritis), as a blood cleanser (depurative), and certain parts of the plant reduce tumor growth. The plant stimulates the immune system, strengthens physical and spiritual energy.
I find use of this plant daily seems to help soften the emotions and get in tune with your own feelings, or even tap into deeper levels of empathy. Sirenita Bobinsana offers her gentle spirit and helps to open the heart and deepen inner clarity. Some even experience a soften lucidity during dream time or feel a deeper level of love in their hearts. Bobinsana may illicit contraceptive qualities so avoid it’s usage if you are starting a family. ½ dropperful held under the tongue for 30-60 seconds is a great place to start, and can be used at higher quantities (1+ dropperful) as well.
