Dr. Nick's Notes
Wild Lettuce is sometimes referred to as Opium Lettuce, and contains some constituents which act as mild analgesics, relaxants and serve as a nerve tonic. I’ve noted a calm relaxing of the mind, an ease to transition into sleep and mild analgesic qualities. After two weeks of supplemental usage, I notice no cravings and a general beneficial application for Wild Lettuce for stress or aches.
Wild Lettuce has more mild properties compared to the opium plant and is not chemically related to any opiate drugs. One friend found it useful during her menstrual cycle and I’ve noted it to aid with relaxing the mind before bed. After a solid workout or mild soreness in the body, I perceive this takes the edge off of the aches. I personally experience a low amount of euphoria in conjunction with it’s mild analgesic qualities – this combination makes it a highly practical solution to aid with soreness while remaining focused & productive, unlike other natural remedies such as Kratom.
