Texas Cedarwood (Juniperus mexicana) is actually a type of Juniper native to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and parts of Mexico. Also commonly known as Mountain Cedarwood, Mexican Cedarwood, or Mexican Juniper, this is quite a precious and less commonly known “cedar” extract. I’d liken this to a combination of the smoky caramel base of Chinese Cedar and the pencil richness of Virginian Cedar except more eloquently expressed by Nature’s Design.

We’ve found Texas Cedar Oil to be a fantastic ingredient to produce some very special botanical perfumes (ie. Mossy Fern, Deep Woman) both for its aromatic character and fixative properties. Texas Cedarwood has a smoky base and complex character unlike any other extract!  Texas Cedar Oil is a CNS regulator and has great benefits being used in aromatherapy for calming the nervous system. Applied to the bottom of the feet is becomes an ally for promoting deeper states of meditation and releasing stress or anger.

Add into your favorite beauty care products for a deeper level of tonification and relaxation during your grooming! Amazing used around the house in your diffuser.

How to Use

• Add 0.5-1.5% into shampoos, soaps, and other hygiene products for an enhanced stimulating and purifying experience.
• As a botanical perfume ingredient, Texas Cedar Oil acts as a deep smoky & complex fixative.
• For use in aromatherapy blends to promote relaxation, mental clarity and reduce anger/frustration.
• Great for your home diffuser, purifies the environment leaving a sense of peace.
• Infuse into carrier oils at 5-10% and apply to body for homemade insect repellent.

Precautions

Best to be diluted with a carrier oil before applying to skin. May cause skin irritation in higher concentrations.
