Docta's Notes: Violet Chill ~ Violet in nature, calming in physical body and mind, Violet Chill was my first therapeutic essential oil blend developed on Big Island Hawaii. Its primary intention was to stop the itching and inflammation from mosquito bites. My body found 3-4 hours of itching relief from a thin coat using this formula (initially named Bug Bite-B-Gone) for use on bug bites. This formulation also seemed to speed the recovery of active bite marks by a noticeable duration and includes some of my favorite essential oils for stress & relaxation.
Lavender has been used for a long time to reduce swelling & inflammation and as a bug repellent (with various levels of success). We also have a formulation called Bug Repel that we find even more effective for this specific purpose. Both Lavender & Cedar are very soothing to the nervous system and can heavily relax a person when added into a bath or massaged into the bottom of the feet. Frankincense & Myrrh were added to this essential oil blend to speed up the healing process of wounds and bites while reducing inflammation and softening the skin with regular application. "Bug Bite-B-Gone" from the Hawaiian Islands evolved into Violet Chill where it made more sense for its holistic range of uses when I moved back to the mainland. Violet Chill received a supportive upgrade when Helichrysum was added in, to aid in wound-care recovery, including the reduction of inflammation & supporting physical regeneration; Helichrysum also seems to relax the nervous systems to support the modern anxiety-ridden lifestyle and put a person back into a Violet Cloud of Calm ~
Violet Chill has been used for burns, bug bites, swelling & inflammation, as well as offering an increase in the recovery speed of wounds. Violet Chill may provide minute pain relief in minor injuries, reduce stress levels and is just a lovely violet cloud of chill for your nostrils! Great to add as a relaxing massage concentrate to your favorite carrier oil to share with friends, family and love ones.

Violet Chill has a soft, floral, slightly powdery, and deeply calming aromatic profile built around lavender and complementary woody & resinous botanical notes.
