How to Use
- Take ¼ to 1 full dropperful under the tongue and hold the Ultrasonic Pau D Arco Tincture for 30-60+ seconds 1-2 times daily to aid in harmonizing inner microbiological terrain.
Precautions
Pau D' Arco may affect the blood's ability to clot, and has potential to interfere with blood-thinning drugs such as anti-platelet and anti-coagulant drugs (ie. Warfarin). The isolate of the plant compound lapachol has demonstrated abortifacient effects in some animal studies and it is suggested to be avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Due to little research on the effects of children, it is recommended to be avoided for child use.

Pau D’ Arco is the common name of a tropical evergreen tree species that has been identified as Tabebuia impetiginosa and T. avellanedae. Both names are used by the scientific community to identify the plant and referenced in the scientific literature. Pau D’ Arco is a member of the Bignoniaceae family and expresses vibrant rose / violet flowers with broad green leaves. This epic tree grows up to 125 feet in height, wild throughout the warm regions of South America. Pau D’ Arco has a very hard wood extremely resistant to fungal decay. It’s high resistance to rot contributes to its historical use by indegenous tribes for making bows to hunt. Pau D’ Arco inspired by this use, has meaning in Portugese as “Bow Tree” or “Bow Stem”.
Pau D’ Arco has been used as medicine by the indigenous of South America for thousands of years. Traditional use of Pau D’ Arco to treat skin infections / wounds where high risk of fungal conditions is present due to the tropical environment. Some studies have evaluated its usage to treat various forms of cancer and infectious diseases. The Pau D’ Arco bark found the interest of US citizens in the 1960’s when a popular Brazillian magazine reported miracle cures of leukemia and other forms of cancer.
