Dr. Nick's Notes
Fennel has been an ally on the road, working with the public & through Conscious Bartending. This sweet oil infuses life-force into drinks and plays well with other oils, while providing the drinker a more settled stomach. When my stomach feels uneasy, this tends to me my first choice go-to: both for gas, abdominal pain.
Fennel is used in many of my oral care combinations (ie. Dr. Nick's Tooth Oil, mouthwash) and adds well to foods (ie. chocolate, non-dairy/dairy ice cream) to promote ease in the digestive system. Haven't tried yet, but I'm sure it can add value to salads & stir-fries in the appropriate dilutions (1 drop to large salads/stir-fry).
When diluted and swished, fennel seems to provide a "clean" experience in the mouth/teeth which may contribute to it's wide use in commerically available oral care products. With the right dilutions, the fennel has an uplifting tonic property to topical skin use. An inexpensive ally, sweet fennel oil is a great investment to have in your toolbox.
How to Use
Must DILUTE before topical application. Oral ingestion is not recommended without consulting a trained practitioner or under a physician's care.
