** SPECIAL NOTE ** - Please note when ordering: 1 ml / gram is approximately 1/4 of the Dram bottles which are measured to hold 4.2 mL on average.  When you order 1 mL / gram, expect the bottle to be about 1/4 of the way full and 3 mL approximately 3/4 of the way full!  One pound of Blue Lotus Flowers produces approximately 1 mL / gram of Blue Lotus Absolute.  This is very prized, precious and valuable material!  

Suggested Uses

One of the most exotic scents of all time, Blue Lotus Oil is widely used for aromatherapy. For a quick and immediate experience with Blue Lotus, simply lift the bottle of oil to your nose and inhale – you will experience its unmistakable effects within five to ten inhalations. Blue Lotus is also known as an euphoriant and a natural aphrodisiac, so just a few drops can enhance circulation and libido. Blue Lotus Absolute applied to the third eye can support connection to intuition and inner-knowing. A wonderful meditative aid, this oil can support one on their spiritual path - dispelling negative emotions and thoughts along the way.

A few drops of this precious oil can be added to a carrier oil to create a deeply therapeutic massage oil, as it has even been documented to support with minor aches and pains. Add Blue Lotus Oil to a bath, shower gel, facial steam treatment, hair treatment, or homemade candles. Blue Lotus may also be added to smoking blends – simply add one drop of the essential oil to your herbs to experience its full effects. Some people also report adding a few drops to wine to create a psychoactive brew (try 1 drop per 4-16 ounces).

Blue Lotus Absolute - Our current Blue Lotus Absolute is sourced from an amazing family operation in Thailand. This family was actually the very first in the world to create an absolute extraction of Blue Lotus flowers! The Blue Lotus is grown organically in their lotus pond and processed at their factory on-site, within a very short distance of harvesting. Aromatically, Thai Blue Lotus carries honey, mild caramel, and hints of apple pie, and doesn't express the dieselic (smelling like diesel or gasoline) aromatic note which is present in Egyptian / Sri-Lankan flowers.  This is truly one of the most sweet Blue Lotus Absolutes on the market, and we are grateful we had the opportunity to personally visit their operation and witness their extraction process in 2025!

Anointing Oil ~ We are now producing a 9.3+% Anointing Oil (Infused into ORMUS Enhanced Fractionated Coconut Oil) to bring costs down to the end user, and to empower this precious (limited) resource spread into more hands worldwide. This is an ideal formulation and perfect for individuals wanting to use this aromatically as a perfume on their body! This is Dr. Nick's current preferred direct application for regularly wearing Blue Lotus as a Botanical Perfume/Cologne.

100x Resin / Extract ~ In our travels to Thailand early 2025, we were able to visit our supplier's farms / factories and got to witness the production of Blue Lotus! From growing to processing, we were quite inspired by what we witnessed. Our supplier in Thailand is producing a unique & precious Blue Lotus 100:1 (100x) Extract, where 100 grams is concentrated into 1 gram of final extract.

I find this to be relatively aromatic, and amongst the most psychoactive of all our Blue Lotus Extracts. The wonder of this extract can be found upon placing into tea, wine, water.  I personally enjoy ingesting this straight, using a small spoon or toothpick, and starting low and expanding outward.  Very supportive for enhancing meditation, colors, quieting thoughts and enhancing creativity.  Very impressed with this new extract, can purchase here!

History

In Ancient Egypt, blue lotus was a symbol of sexuality and was said to promote sexual desire, euphoria, and ecstasy. It is also believed that these entheogens played a big role in the meditative and spiritual rituals of the Egyptians, the Mayans, and many other ancient peoples.

The Blue Lotus was also known in Egypt as a symbol of the universe, fertility, and sexuality. The lotus flower is symbology for the crown chakra. It is prominently represented in ancient Egyptian art. The Blue Lotus was found scattered over Tutankhamen's body when the Pharaoh's tomb was opened in 1922.

Many historians thought it was a purely symbolic flower but there maybe some reason to believe that Egyptians used it to induce an ecstatic state, stimulation, and hallucinations, in addition to its wide use as a general remedy against illness. When Nymphaea caerulea is smoked or drank after being soaked in water or wine, it acted as an intoxicant. The Blue Lotus contain Aporphine, apomorphine (which is a dopamine agonist), nuciferine which has antispasmodic properties. The Blue Lotus flower was considered to be a magical, sacred flower and it appears as a common motif in numerous ancient Egyptian paintings. The flower was sometimes used in order to induce and ecstatic state and hallucinations.

Absolute Extracts - Use pharmaceutical grade hexane to extract the aromatic concrete - concrete is washed with 190 proof ethanol to remove aromatic constituents from solvent. Ethanol is evaporated away to leave a rich, powerful Blue Lotus Absolute with minimal residual solvent. Most delicate flowers are extracted using hexane and can produce very clean, rich products.
