In 2025, my wife and I took a trip to Thailand and we were fortunate enough to find a family who grows, processes and extracts beautiful flowers and medicinal herbs. Our Thai friends produce some epic, potent therapeutic & recreational resins which I love dearly. After a year of experimentation, I wanted to share some of my favorite combinations with our community. In collaboration with my Thai friends, they have agreed to produce unique resins using my tested ratios to share through Essential Oil Wizardry.

Enter Unwind Resin, my Synergy Resin crafted from Damiana, Wild Dagga & Wild Lettuce to help transition a work day or stressful situation into one with more calm and spaciousness. The effects of our resins (at the right dose for you) are more than subtle. Our Unwind Resin is well-balanced in intensity, and really lives up to it’s name to transition into more relaxation.

Why combine these plants into a concentrated resin?

Damiana is very calming, helpful for creativity, relaxation with a clarity of mind.  Wild Dagga is mild-moderately euphoric and can help shift the mood into a non-linear mind, to help chill out. Wild Lettuce is calming, great for stress, difficulty sleeping and also more mild aches in the body.

The synergy of these three botanicals combined is a graceful transition from stress to ease, work to play, and welcomes relaxation and a gentle close of your day’s tasks. I find the formula to be balanced: not too euphoric, calming or energetic, just the perfect level to shift your day into a pleasant unwinding. There’s a mild mood-elevating quality which seems quite integrated and smooth.  Unwind Resin is short-acting and lasts between 1-2 hours, and can be re-dosed to extend the effects.

When taken before bed, I note a balance of stimulation and calm – some people may note extra stimulation and choose to use this resin a few hours before bed. Others may find it helps transition them into rest. It seems like I take an extra 5-15 minutes to shut my mind off when using Unwind before bed, though I sleep deeply throughout the evening.

I cannot recommend the appropriate dose for everybody; In the words of my Thai friends – start low and go slow.  I’ve found a grain of rice to be a nice starting dosage, and have found a pea sized amount to offer a nice buzzy euphoria that lights me up for party purposes. When I enjoy Unwind Resin, my mind & body feel a level of peace, calmness with a nice mental glow. Stress melts away and I experience a mild, pleasant buzz

Each gram of this Unwind Resin goes a long way, and should be treasured/respected. This is an ultra-concentrated resin taking approximately 100 grams of the combination of these three plants concentrated into each gram of resin, also known as 100x Extract. I have only experienced this ingested directly, though it may be interesting infused into elixirs, tea, cacao or added into water. I have yet to vaporize this material, but I may try this sometime to see the effect – I expect this to be a powerful experience and may be more alike to cannabis!

Addictive Potential & Responsible Usage

I find Unwind Resin to be relatively gentle and balanced – I do not expect healthy individuals using with intention to have any issues with addiction or dependency using this combination. While I’ve only used Unwind a handful of times to date, I would suggest using this extract 5 days on- 2 days off, or use as needed, as opposed to daily for an extended period of months. You may adjust your usage based on your own body-mind needs, and social / recreational desires. With the right intention and bodily awareness, there is much to gain from Unwind Resin as an ally!

Important Note: Wild Lettuce (found in Unwind Resin) works on the opiate receptors naturally – if you have any history of abuse with opiates, you may choose to abstain with this particular product. Suggested Uses

Unwind Resin is a balanced Synergy Resin with mild relaxing & euphoric qualities to help transition from work into relaxation. Unwind helps to remove mental chatter, linear thoughts and undo any events of a challenging day. Unwind is great to get into your body, to pattern interrupt and just chill. Try using instead of a cocktail over dinner with friends, or after a long day of work. This is a great selection for taking the edge off and transitioning into a more calm state of presence. One should start low (ie. grain of rice) and carefully dose discover what is right for them, as these are very potent extracts!

How to Use

• 1 (rice-sized) dab taken directly in the mouth
• Steeped and sipped in hot water, cacao or herbal tea
• Infused into tonics, elixirs or wine / spirits
