This is one of the most valuable oils I have access to and I have incredible gratitude for receiving such POTENT tools into my access point. Two years ago, during winter my health was declining for approximately 1.5 weeks until wheezing & loss of breath was quite apparent around the clock and determined it was time - I NEEDED to see a doctor for antibiotics. Hopeless, I experimented with a vaporizer during a self-diagnosed third consecutive year of pneumonia using 1 drop of oil of oregano. After vaporizing 1 drop of oregano essential oil three times on day 1 and twice on day 2, my respiratory system felt about 85-90% of baseline at the end of the 2nd day. This experience enlightened me to the dynamic creativity involved in medicine & healing.

Let me be very clear, I don't recommend anyone vaporize pure essential oil of oregano as I have in emergent situations due to its high concentration of phenolic molecules (carvacrol). I coughed up nasty gunk from deep in my lungs for up to 5 minutes and getting the temperature "correct" can be a challenge (warmer = more irritating). After the coughing spell came a wave of peace, clarity and elevated euphoria. Be warned, I also do not suggest anyone use this topically or internally undiluted as Oregano oil may be a powerful irritant to the GI tract, or to the skin.

Since my respiratory bout(s) with pneumonia, I use oil of oregano vaporized at the onset of flu / cold symptoms, sore throats or 1 drop diluted in Hot water as a tea for food poisoning/upset stomach which generally self-corrects in 1-3 hours when I take it quickly after onset. Recently I've been told that women may take oregano tea for their cramps during menses though I haven't had direct experience with that suggestion.

Comparison & Personal Preference

We offer several species of Oregano and my favorite is the Heracleoticum ssp hirtum. This distillation is well-rounded, full-bodied, rich with intensity and somewhat smooth. This Oregano species was the first I was introduced to back in 2010, and is my favorite to this day. The other species each are very potent, and have their own unique expressions of intensity, and are just as wonderful. My personal preference is the Heracleoticum for those interested in my recommendations, but each varietal offered is excellent and will suite your intended purposes!

How to Use

NOTE: Avoid with strong liver disease and do not use undiluted!

Oregano essential oil should ALWAYS be diluted in appropriate concentrations as it is too potent for all membranes/skin both internal/external without dilution. Some people choose to dilute this into lotions or oils for topical fungal infections.

To drink, use about 8-16 ounce of hot water, mix 1 drop of oregano essential oil, stir for about 3 minutes before smelling potent fumes (irritating) careful and enjoy!

We don't recommend vaporizing this for others as it's a strong irritant; though it has been quite effective systemically through this mechanism for me, after the coughing spell.
