Kava Kava is a revered root in islands across the world. It’s been studied for its ability to stimulate mood, support feelings of ease, and aid with sleep — indigenous natives have used this plant in ceremonial context for thousands of years to bond with their communities. The plant produces a traditional alcohol-like effect, binding to the same GABA receptor and working as a relaxant in the body and mind.
All of EOW’s Kava Kava products start with pure CO2-extracted Kava Kava produced from Vanuatu root. Our other Kava products are formulated using that same CO2 Extract, infused with therapeutic essential oils and organic fractionated coconut oil to enhance and modulate their effect.

What is Kava Kava?
Kava Kava is a revered root found on islands across the world. It’s been studied for its ability to stimulate mood, support feelings of ease, and aid with sleep. Indigenous natives have used the plant in ceremonial context for thousands of years to bond with their communities. Kava produces a traditional alcohol-like effect, binding to the same GABA receptor and working as a relaxant in the body and mind. All of EOW’s Kava products begin with pure CO2-extracted Kava Kava produced from Vanuatu root.
What Kava products does Essential Oil Wizardry offer?
EOW carries one of the most comprehensive Kava collections available in the botanical space, spanning five formats:
- Kava Kava (CO2) — Our famous, super-potent Kava Extract (~70% kavalactones). One dab will do ya.
- Kava Infusion Tincture — Neutral flavor and effect Kava infused in fractionated coconut oil.
- Kava Chill — A super relaxing sleep formula, one of Docta’s favorites for stress and sleep.
- Kava Euphoria — Our party kava blend: uplifting, stimulating, and euphoric.
- Kava Tincture Package — Chill, Euphoria, and Infusion Tincture together in one set.
What’s the difference between Kava Kava (CO2) and the Infusion Tincture?
Kava Kava (CO2) is our super-potent extract, standardized to roughly 70% kavalactones — a concentrated, paste-like format where one dab will do ya. The Infusion Tincture takes that same CO2-extracted Kava and infuses it into fractionated coconut oil for a neutral flavor and effect, in an easier, more versatile everyday format. Both start from the same Vanuatu root — the difference is concentration and delivery, not sourcing.
Which Kava product is the most potent?
Kava Kava (CO2) is the strongest format in EOW’s lineup, standardized to roughly 70% kavalactones. It’s our famous, super-potent extract — one dab will do ya. Our other Kava products start from this same CO2 Extract, then infuse it with therapeutic essential oils and organic fractionated coconut oil to enhance and modulate the effect for different use cases.
What does Kava feel like?
Kava produces a traditional alcohol-like effect, binding to the same GABA receptor and working as a relaxant in the body and mind. How that shows up depends on the format: Kava Chill is a super relaxing sleep formula — one of Docta’s favorites for stress and sleep. Kava Euphoria is the opposite: our party kava blend, built to be uplifting, stimulating, and euphoric. The Infusion Tincture and CO2 Extract carry Kava’s neutral, traditional effect without either of those modulations.
How is Kava Euphoria different from Kava Chill?
Kava Euphoria is EOW’s party kava blend — uplifting, stimulating, and euphoric, formulated for social settings rather than winding down. Kava Chill is the opposite: a super relaxing sleep formula, one of Docta’s favorites for stress and sleep. Both start from the same CO2-extracted Vanuatu Kava; the difference comes entirely from how each is formulated with complementary essential oils.
Is Kava safe to use regularly?
Kava is not recommended for everyday use — it can be taxing on the liver with daily or high-dose use, especially in combination with alcohol, acetaminophen, or other hepatotoxic substances. EOW recommends drinking plenty of fluids during use and avoiding Kava entirely if you have a pre-existing liver condition. As with any concentrated botanical, listen to your body and consult a physician if you’re pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
