Dr. Nick Notes

Neroli Essential Oil, an essence produced from Orange Blossom Flowers, creates a truly exotic experience marrying etheric notes with sensuality. Mood elevating neroli oil calms the nerves and stimulates inner peace with a balanced level of euphoria. Neroli Absolute seems to carry notes more similar to that of fresh Neroli on the orange tree, while the steam distilled essence tends to be more light and carry more of a spicy edge towards the tail end of the fragrance profile.

Orange blossom oil truly adds value to botanical perfumes as a dreamy top-note, exemplified by it's usage in Chanel No. 5 in the fancy perfume world. The addition of neroli into desserts or beverages is a humbling creation, a layer of honey-rich notes saturate the senses. Orange blossom water is very revitalizing to the skin, great for clearing pores, breaking down acne and reducing excessive oils on the skin. Enlighten your beauty incorporating this essence into your life with several drops of neroli into a full bath, consider adding other flowers to the mix (rose, geranium, ylang ylang). Neroli oil is surprisingly helpful as an anti-fungal and may be helpful in candida or tinea infections.

How to Use

Consider using neroli oil by producing orange flower water by strongly diluting and using as a facial toner – great with frankincense & cedar! Helpful in cases with acne, excessively oily skin and fungal infections: Use 1-3 drops of neroli, 1-10 drops of frank/cedar infused into 4 ounces of water.

Neroli oil is fun in the botanical perfumer's lab – experiment with other flowers or base notes to create next-level intoxicating scents. Drop into your body using 1-4 drops of neroli in a warm bath – take solo or with a desired love. Neroli essential oil is rather incredible vaporized in an Essential VAAAPP – one drop is good for 10-20 etheric, tantalizing inhalations. Try experimenting in non-dairy ice-creams or milks, gluten-free cakes or other fine desserts. Your senses will be upleveled!

Precautions

Neroli oil may act as an irritant on sensitive skin – consider using a skin patch test to find if topical use jives with your body type. Also may act as a potential photosensitizer – don't apply to skin if exposed to direct sunlight or risk potential burn.
